Citizen Kane...
The film we all just watched, Citizen Kane, was said to be the greatest film ever made. This opinion I agree and disagree with. In ways I agree, that it was very well crafted and shot. The photography and Mise-en-Scene aspect made this film almost one of a kind. The shot type and lighting were the big part on the opinion of being the best. The way I disagree was the story and characters. The story did not do anything for me; nothing caught my interest. The characters were very boring and confusing/ vague. Having the story being not very interesting, I saw most of the craftiness and intelligence in the making of the film. The way no one could ever see the meaning of Rosebud, witch when we finally found out was not very spectacular, it was shocking that it was something that easy (unlike a secret wife or child) but not spectacular.

I agree and disagree with you. I disagree that the Mise-en-Scene was one of a kind because it look the same as any other film that’s setting was the same time and place. I do agree with you about how the film was boring overall and the characters were boring and confusing.
I agree with you on the film not being very interesting. I think some action would have helped, but the film as a whole isn't very fast paced, so I don't know how that sort of action could fit into this film.
i disagree and agree with the movieman, and you too joey. I agree with the movieman212121 that the mise-en-scene wasn't all that one of a kind, but I think both of you are wrong about the characters being vague and boring. the characters all have really diverse personalities and the film goes into each of their lives in great detail so I don't think it's vague at all. confusing is true though. also, steve said almost the exact same comment on the movieman's blog
i agree that the movie did not catch my attention, but i think that i didn't catch my attention because i was expecting a thriller. looking back on the film if i was expecting almost a documentary (i know citizen kane wasn't a real person) well then in that case the movie was very interesting. i guess its all just about how you looked at the film
